I was just organizing my thoughts and could not come up with the exact text of today’s post until I felt hungry and went out of the AUA to have a so called “Quick Lunch” and get back to you. Since it is getting closer to the start of our business, I focused on what I may find, to make comparison whit our “YerevanQuickLunch” choices.

As many of you can correctly guess, the small neighboring shops are our best and usually the only solution for a quick and cheap lunch in Yerevan. I did the same and went to one of these stores, which is by the way, a favorite one for students.
If you have guessed the shop correctly, my choices for lunch would be much easier for you to guess. A bunch of homemade and poorly (or not at all) packed donuts, some with black burnt sausages in them and HLT sandwiches with the lettuce gone yellow.
In the properly packaged product range, there are some “safe” choices but not for everyday consumption.I ordered a Hotdog with Coke and a small pack of Doritos. The food was not bad, but this is the most generous complement for it. All the time you think about the bad cholesterol, extra calories and you “hope” that the vegetables in the sandwich are at lease properly washed. And … I paid 570 AMDs having promised that I will return the empty coke bottle!!!
Please understand that I do not address a certain shop and do not want to insult anybody. This is just an example of a typical shop around the city.
If I could order food to Yerevan Quick Lunch, this was my alternative:
1- I would order a chicken sandwich from the GGG restaurant with a season salad and a small bottle of mineral water.
2- That would have cost me 600 AMDs.
3- If this was a part of my monthly order, the price would be 420 AMDs.
4- I would not have to leave my desk and loose 30 minutes of my busy time today, and last but not the least,
5- I would be healthier than I am now!

This was a simple yet interesting comparison for me. Hope it was helpful or at least fun for you to read. If you have any such comparison stories, or other choices for a quick lunch choice, please share it with us.
